RN to BSN Program

The West Texas A&M University RN to BSN program, which is fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education and approved by the Texas Board of Nursing, provides students a flexible, accessible and affordable way to increase career opportunities. Courses can be completed in one academic year or longer, depending on the students’ needs.

Increasing Career opportunities

  • Nursing career benefits of a Registered Nurse who hold a B.S.N. include:
  • Advancement into management and other healthcare leadership positions
  • Opportunities for higher wages and higher level nursing positions
  • Opportunities in more diverse fields, such as risk management and quality assurance
  • Greater potential for employment across the state and nationally
  • Preparation for a Master of Science in Nursing (M.S.N.) educational program

Program Cost

AFFORDABLE TUITION: Beginning SP19, the RN-BSN degree program is offering a special $225 scholarship toward each RN-BSN course required. This results in a total program cost as low as $8,250 for Texas residents completing in one year. The scholarship includes the RN-BSN/MSN pathway students and the out-of-state students and applies to the 30 hours of RN-BSN program courses. (Standard University tuition rates apply to core/nursing pre-requisite courses.)

Additionally there are numerous scholarships and financial aid programs available to RN-BSN degree students.
